Zeekoegat Historical Homestead

We spent one day at Zeekoegat Homestead and wished we had booked more! The place is a real gem. The owners have put much work in making it a piece of paradise with many different friendly animals and trees. The house we rented has a very spacious laylout, with a separate sitting room and kitchen with all amenities included. And as a bonus, if you are a history buff, the house has a lot of to offer. The owners go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and provide you with advice on where to go, from hikes to where to eat. The friendly owners did an outstanding job of preserving the old and offering a luxurious stay. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Absolutely delightful in nearly every aspect. Anyone with a feeling for “the old Cape” would love it. Enhanced by the free ranging pigs and poultry. Warm and interesting hosts.

It was really nice to have such a large space to stay. Very relaxing, lovely animals. We even had a little Yorkie moving in with us for the two days, Very sweet. Comfortable bed, lovely facilities and the most divine freshly baked bread, what a wonderful surprise! Thank you!

Breathtaking location for nature and animal lovers. Amazing renovated farm with historical elements and art making the environment just perfect. The hosts are so kind and helpful , so glad to have met them.

Gorgeous historical building very comfortably furnished and decorated wonderfully with art and photography. Loved the firepit as well as the indoors hearth in the kitchen. Without doubt an exceptional and special experience with a coterie of rescued farm animals as company. Superlative.
